The Housewife

 Intro: An old gang leader hangs up her shades and guns, to become a housewife. She lives in peace with her husband, and son. When the son gets kidnapped by an old gang. She puts on her shades and takes action.

 

Long ago there was a powerful gang in the lower parts of New Jersey. They were called the Crimson Dragons. Their leader was named Ren Blade. A furious and skillful leader who ruled the streets with an iron fist. She could easily take over a gang in minutes. The streets feared her name. While other gang members would team up to try and take her down, each would fail. Until one gang called the Blue Haze, went to war with the Crimson Dragons. This war went on for days and eventually Ren and their leader Adam met in a hand to hand combat. This battle was bloody, but somehow she overpowered him. He was on the floor with blood coming from the back of his skull. She hangs a gun over him and shoots him dead.

Blue Haze bows to her as their new leader. From the shadows, someone wasn’t happy about their older brother being killed. Months passed and Ren was running late for a meeting, and she bumps into someone. Both their briefcases fell and when she was about to yell, she paused. She was lost in his green eyes and he was caught off guard by her beauty. They quickly pick up the wrong brief cases and finish along to their offices. Ren gets there and places her case on the table. She opens it and looks shocked, this was not her brief case. She realizes who has it and decides to run back to the cafe where the accident happened. 

She walks the streets and hopes he realizes he has her case. Ren walks into the cafe and orders some coffee and a danish. She was about to sit when someone trapped her shoulder. She turned around and stood there in a daze. This man took her completely off guard and she kind of liked it. She took down several men in her life, but he was different. “Ren?” he said. His deep voice made her heart skip a beat.

“Yes. You are?” she replied. He extends his hand and she reaches for it.

“Chad Winter.” he answered. After that, the rest was history. They started seeing each other twice per month and talked on the phone everyday. Soon, after three years, Ren gave up her leadership status and decided to marry and have a child with Chad. Not knowing she was still being watched.

Four years have passed and her son Jacob is four years old. Ren was happy and at peace with her decision to leave her gang life behind. She would still catch up with her gang members from time to time for afternoon tea and gossip. This happy housewife decided to stay home and cook for her family and teach self defense classes while her son was at daycare. The sun rises and she walks Jacob to school. All while she was walking, she felt an eerie presence in the air. Ping! She stops and turns around. Everyone looked normal. One figure walked past her and her blue hair made her stand out. The girl glares at her and continues to walk. Ren arrives at the daycare and kisses Jacob ‘goodbye’. 

Throughout the day she runs errands for the house. Ring! Chad was calling her and she picked up. “Yes, dear?” 

“Hey, honey is Jacob with you? I’m looking at the tracker on his backpack and he’s no longer at the daycare.” he explained. Ren's eyes went wide as she checked her phone for reassurance. Who could have taken her son out of daycare?

“No, honey I did not. Maybe someone took his backpack by mistake. I will go check it out.” she replied. Ren hurries out of the store and to the daycare. She talks to a woman at the front desk.

“I’m so sorry Ms. Winter but Jacob was checked out before nap time by someone who claimed to know you. She showed me a signed letter, claiming to be your nanny. I made sure to check the signature from your paperwork and it matched.” she explained. Ren would usually show rage like in the old days but now she was calmer and more self-aware. She backs away from the counter and pulls out her phone. Before she completely pulls it out, she sees a blue strand of hair on the floor. A flash of that girl appears in her head. She turns back to the desk.

“Did this stranger have blue hair and glasses?” Ren asked. She shakes her head in an agreeing motion. “Thank you.” Ren stated. Instead of calling the police like any normal parent would do, she follows the app on her phone to find her son's bag. She arrived at a nearby park and saw the bag on a bench. Her son was nowhere to be found. She reaches into his bag and pulls out a piece of paper with a familiar symbol on it. She couldn’t believe her eyes. 

“Blue Haze?” she mumbled with shock. Ever since she took them down, no one should be wearing the symbol unless someone started a new Blue Haze. Even if a new Blue Haze did start, what would their leader want with her, she was retired. She calls Hailey an old friend and the new leader of the Crimson Dragons. 

“Ren…”

“Code: Red. My house in thirty and bring the brief case.” she commanded.

“...yes ma'am!". 

Hailey arrives with the case and Ren explains her findings. Ren describes the girl she thinks to be the leader. Hailey opens the case and pulls out a laptop. This laptop contained all the resources and files on every gang member across the world. She types in ‘blue hair’ and ten people appear on the screen. Ren looks at them and sees a girl who resembles the woman on the street except in this photo she was younger. 

“Sorry Ren, our I.T. guy is still working on updating all the profile photos. If this is the woman you saw then she would be twenty-five today….oh, shit! This girl, Amy, was Adam's younger sister and I believe she was at the street fight that day and saw you kill her brother seven years ago.” she explained with shock. 

“So, she is out for revenge then. Bold move to take my son.” Ren stated. She walks over to a book shelf and removes a red book. She pulls out a gun and begins to load it. Creak. 

“What the hell?! Why do you have a gun Ren and where is Jacob?!” Chad yelled with shock. Hailey looks at the two of them and decides to give them the room. Before she leaves, she gives Amy’s new location on a sheet of paper. 

“Chad, let me explain.” Ren said. Ren explains her past life and deeds before they met as a gang leader. Then she explains how after meeting him, she gave up her gang life to live at peace with him and keep him safe. She mentions Amy and why she took their son. Chad looks down at the coffee table while processing this new information. Ren knew this could be the end of their relationship, but before she went off to fight, he needed to know the truth. He looks at her with a smirk.

“Bring our son home.” he commanded. Ren smirks with him and nods. She changes into her old combat gear. She places her gun in her holder and heads out. She arrives at an old abandoned warehouse. She walks through the wasteland and looks through a shattered window. She sees Jacob sleeping on a dirty mattress. Crack! Someone was coming, she ducks behind a bush and sees familiar gang members walk past. She removes her taser and shocks them both in the neck while covering their mouths. She walks around to the front door and knocks on it. Someone opens the door and she knees them in the stomach. The person is tossed to the side and she runs inside. The other members tried to release their guns but they were too slow. She shoots them all and heads to the center of the warehouse.  

   When she reaches the center room, she pauses because Amy is pointing a gun at her son. “Don’t be stupid bitch! I will kill him like you killed my brother.”

“If you kill him, you die next brat. I killed your brother because it was a fight to the death for gang takeover. I was only doing my job as leader…but do you really think I don't have empathy for every human life I have taken?!” Ren yelled. That last statement caught Amy by surprise which gave Ren enough time to throw a dagger and knock the gun out of her hand. Amy holds her hand in pain. Ren steps forward and puts her gun away. She stands in a fighting position.

“If you want your revenge so much, then come at me!” she expressed. Amy smirks at her and charges. Amy throws some good punches but Ren was able to block most of them. One catches her in the face and makes her stumble back. That one punch was the only punch Amy was going to have tonight. Ren sweeps her to the floor with her leg and punches her multiple times in the face. Blood drips down her lip. Amy gains some strength and pushes her knee into Ren's rib. It gives Amy enough strength to escape. Grabbing Ren’s dagger, she charges at her and Ren dodges her attack and elbows her in the back. She stumbles and Ren takes her by the arm and cracks it.

“That’s for taking my son…” Ren throws her to the floor and stomps on her stomach making her cough up blood. “...that’s for pointing a damn gun at him!” 

Amy screams in pain, making Jacob wake up. Ren quickly runs over to him and covers his eyes. She does a ‘sleep pinch’ on him and she carries him out of the warehouse. She places him in the car and hears footsteps coming towards them. She releases her gun and turns around. To her surprise the last of Amy’s members were on their knees begging.

“Please don’t tell the Crimson Dragon leader!” they begged. Ren looks at them and laughs. She pulls the trigger and kills them. She pulls out her phone and texts Hailey, “Traitors are dead ... .Lunch next week?” 

“Hell yeah!” she replied.

Ren arrived home and Chad greeted them at the door. Jacob wakes up and smiles. Chad takes him off her hands to get cleaned up. Ren changes out of her clothes and heads to the kitchen. A housewife's job never ends and she couldn’t feel more at peace.
