Bitten By Love CH 3.5

We made it to Ariana car and she quickly drove us home. After about thirty minutes, we arrived at my parents’ house. They lived in a quiet condo community. I got out the car and fixed my hair. My sister was always a fast driver and only for today was her fast driving needed. I watched as she used a wet wipe to remove her makeup. Once done she exit the car and locked it. I used my house key to open the door. Ariana closed the door behind her and sat her purse on the coffee table.

“Mom, Dad, we’re home!” she screamed. I nudged her in the arm and gave her the ‘keep it down’ look. All she did was shrug and finishes walking to the living room. I followed but for some reason she stopped walking. I bumped into her and when I looked around her, I saw our parents on the couch making out. I could see they were watching a romance movie. “Gross!” she stated.

“Agree.” I mumbled. My parents froze with shock and immediately separated. Even though the room was dark, I could still see the red consume their faces. Mom quickly rose and turned off the television.

“I told you it was a bad idea to turn up the sound full blast Nick!” she yelled. Dad started to laugh while scratching his beard.

“Yeah I guess you were right Maria, sorry.” he said. I couldn’t help but laugh at their behavior. It was just so cute and innocent. I went over to go hug mom first. She was a gorgeous beauty who kind of resembled the American princess Cinderella. Except for her dirty blonde hair and green eyes. Plus, her bark is way worse than her bite.

“I’m surprised to see you home Cassy. Did something happen at the school? Because shouldn’t the game still be going on?” she questioned. Dad walked over to us and placed a hand on Mom shoulder. He was a man of simple stature. Sure, he had a little muscle but as the years went by he just let his muscle go after his retirement. He also let his orange hair grow out too, along with his goatee. I watched as he pointed to his sky-blue eyes and smiled.

“Remember honey, about the vision I told you about this morning. The school was attacked, right Cassy?” he asked, while giving me a hug. No matter if the muscles were gone his level three powers still made it unnoticeable. His strength was still as strong.

“Yeah it did. Your vision powers are still as strong as ever old man.” I teased. Our Dad had the power to see the past and future with his special eyes. Normal vampires no matter the level don’t have sky-blue eyes. His eye power was the reason he worked for the kingdom as the guards’ right-hand man. Because he could see and map out battle plans that could help them win the fight and save the kingdom.

“Old man?! How dare you call me old young lady. Just for that you are getting a head nudgy!” he stated with excitement. I laugh at his threat but stopped once I felt two arms wrap around me. Dad grabbed me with full speed and took me towards the backyard. He sat me down in a lawn chair and rubbed the top of my head with full force, laughing.

“Stop it Dad!” I laughed, shooing away his hands. I looked through the glass door and saw my mom and sister were in the kitchen. I guess they were going to start preparing dinner. I felt a quick swipe along my neck. I felt my neck with worry and felt my concealer was gone. I looked at Dad and saw some tissue in his hand. He walked over to the glass door and pulled down the blinds to block my mom and sister view.

“So, my vision was correct. Prince William bit you, didn’t he? My visions may be getting a little rusty, but they are still correct as usual. Now explain on why I shouldn’t kill that bastard for marking my baby girl!” he growled.

“Well…it’s a long story.”

“I don’t care. Besides with your sister helping with dinner, it will be at least two hours before it’s ready. Now talk.”

So, after that I told him everything that happened that night on my first day back to school. I thought he would be mad at the decision I made to let him bite me. Instead, all he did was smile and give me the biggest embrace ever. I patted his back to let him know I couldn’t breathe and he released me.

“I know making that choice must have been difficult, but you did the right thing to save the one you love.” he said. I nearly choked at the L word and shook my head in a disagreeing motion.

“I don’t love him Dad! I simply did it so he wouldn’t die and so we can have a future king come November.” I countered, trying to hide my face. He let out a sigh and sat next to me. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close.

“Yeah, yeah…but besides that. You do know the battle for you will not be easy until the mark is removed? So, I want you to look out for yourself and that idiot of a friend until all is said and done, okay?”

“Okay Dad…Also thanks for understanding and for keeping this secret between us.” I said. He looked at me with confusion and then he starts to smirk.

“How did you know I would keep this between us?” he questioned.

“It came to me in a dream I had last night. It told of this same scenario except it was daylight outside.” I explained.

“I see. I guess this means your future vision is finally kicking in, which is good. Now if only your sister past vision would start and if you two could see eye to eye. Then you both would be unstoppable when you one day join the kingdoms guard force.” he stated. I placed a hand on my dad’s shoulder and chuckled.

“Well let’s hope we don’t get called in anytime soon then. Because me and her seeing eye to eye will take years to happen. Plus, it was only a dream not an actual vision like you have Dad.”

“Funny baby girl, but my vision powers started off as dreams too. Before they finally started to become more active in my everyday life.” My eyes went wide after he said that because it made me recall that dream with Will a couple weeks ago.

“Great…” I whispered with a sigh. My Dad got up from the chair to stretch. I joined him and before he went inside I gave him one last hug. “Thank you again, Dad.”

“You’re welcome baby girl. Also, don’t hesitate to come to me for help when it gets too hard to handle alone.” he said before going back inside. I smiled at his words and was about to go back inside myself until my phone started to vibrate. The caller ID read Will, so I picked it up.

“Are you okay!!!” he screamed in my ear. I looked at the phone like he was crazy and then placed it back close to my ear.

“Thanks for killing my ears and yes, I’m fine. Are you alright though? What was your family’s reaction to the message?” I asked. The phone went silent for a moment until I heard him take a breath.

“Luckily because Hunter X cannot be trusted. My mother and father didn’t believe them. But just for extra precaution they are summoning the Nine Court Jesters to come to the kingdom to discuss a solution to take down Hunter X. But that isn’t what worries me.”

“Really? Then what’s worrying you then?”

“The fact that Hunter X knew exactly who you were and didn’t out you back in the gym. So, it makes me wonder what is really up their sleeves.”

“Yeah, I was wondering the same thing too. In fact, in the gym someone tried to kidnap me…”

“What!!!” he yelled cutting me off. I rolled my eyes at his tone of voice and finished what I was trying to say.

“I’m fine Will, geez. Now like I was saying, since they know who I am. I was thinking that maybe they tried to take me away for an upper advantage over the kingdom.”

“Right, and because they didn’t out you in the gym they figured that they could just kidnap you and have the kingdom searching like crazy for the mystery female. Just so Hunter X wouldn’t kill vampires.”

“Exactly, with them not knowing that Hunter X has the girl-which is me- all along in their base.” I finished.

“Of course, it makes perfect sense why they used powder bags in the gym now. To kidnap you, but thankfully it didn’t work. I’m really happy you’re okay, Cassy. And don’t worry all of this will be over soon and you can go back to living a normal life. Remember the person I said I would get in contact with for answers?”

“Yeah. Is he finally coming to Sibiu?”

“Yep, but he won’t be here until next Friday though. I will text you the location on where we should meet when that day comes closer.”

“Awesome. I can’t wait to meet this mysterious person. So, my life can…” I was about to say ‘normal’ but it was like a cat had caught my tongue. Did I not want my normal life back? I know this time with Will has been amazing and hot, but he is our next king and he has to marry. And I can’t stop him from doing that because of my selfish and greedy emotions.

“Go back to normal. I know…Crap! The guards are coming. I got to go now but I will see you in class tomorrow, bye!” he said, ending the call. My arm lost all feeling, it hanged towards the ground. Swinging my phone back and forth. To think my life with Will would be over and our connection gone forever. You think I would be happy for a normal life again, but why was my heart cracking with every second. When the word ‘normal’ came across in my head. I gripped my chest with pain as a single tear dripped down my face. “Why must I love him!” I mumbled.

Next is Chapter Four. See ya soon!
